Citizens Medical Center Emergency Department knows that in an emergency, every second counts.

That's why we have specially trained emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and staff available at all times to ensure that you receive the level of care that you need when you need it.

Our state-of-the-art facility allows us to deliver quality and comprehensive medical care for many types of emergencies.

Our team handles between 33,000 and 35,000 emergencies every year. We have experience and knowledge that you can trust. Our qualifications speak for themselves.

  • Level III (Advanced) Trauma Center. We provide expert care for serious accident victims.

  • Helicopter Service. If you require extremely specialized care that we cannot provide, then we can quickly transport you to other facilities.

  • Chest Pain Center. Our center is the most experienced facility in the Crossroads.

  • Primary Stroke Center. We provide state-of-the-art stroke care, including telemedicine.

  • Full Support from Citizens Medical Center. All of the resources available at the main hospital are available to emergency care personnel, including testing resources.

What should I bring to the Emergency Room?

We understand that when an emergency strikes, there may be little to no time for preparation. However, if you bring the following items with you, you may be able to make it through the check-in process faster.

  • List of medications that you take regularly (including over-the-counter medications and vitamins)

  • Insurance information

  • For children, bring a list of immunizations received
